The video here gives a good example of where I work alongside a facilitator. 
The facilitator also wrote feedback from the conversations on a flipchart (to the left of the video), and that shows the difference between illustration of ideas, and note writing. Both have their place, but at the end of the day the participants were discussing the illustrated scribed information and taking photographs to share with other people.
